Combating Christian Nationalism
FFRF Action Fund’s policy goal is to work with agencies (such as DHS Office of Civil Rights and the Counterterrorism Division at the FBI) on dedicating resources to combating Christian nationalism and religious extremism while ensuring civil rights and liberties. FFRF Action Fund seeks to publicize FFRF and BJC’s seminal report on Christian nationalism at the January 6, 2021, insurrection.
FFRF Action Fund regards Christian nationalism to be an urgent threat to the secular republic of the United States of America. Its divisive goals — to treat certain Christians as the true Americans and everyone else as second-class citizens and to base laws and social policy on its theopolitical and biblically-based doctrines — are antithetical to the secular Constitution, to the Bill of Rights, to egalitarianism, racial, sexual and gender equality and to democratic ideals.
