FFRF AF endorses Ariz. Rep. Ruben Gallego’s bid for U.S. Senate

The FFRF Action Fund is pleased to endorse the U.S. Senate race of Rep. Ruben Gallego in Arizona.

Gallego has served Arizona’s 7th District since 2015. He’s running in the swing state against election denier and Christian nationalist Kari Lake.

Gallego is a Marine Corps vet and is the highest-ranking Latino on the Armed Services Committee. During his time in Congress, Gallego has co-sponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act and the My Body, My Data Act, which protect women’s health care providers and sensitive medical data. He is an active supporter of the Equality Act, which outlaws discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in housing, banking, jury selection, transportation, and public accommodations.

Galleo is also endorsed by Planned Parenthood, Reproductive Freedom for All and the Human Rights Campaign. He calls abortion a “fundamental right.” During his time in the House, he has voiced support for the Equality Act and has long stood up for LGBTQ-plus rights.

FFRF Action Fund considers this a pivotal race in which protecting our democracy is at stake. We are pleased to endorse Gallego, and ask all of our Arizona advocates to vote for him and encourage others to support him.

More information is available at his campaign website.
