Nevada Assembly

Rep. Howard Watts, District 15

The FFRF Action Fund is pleased to endorse Nevada state Rep. Howard Watts, who is running for reelection in Assembly District 15 as a Democrat.

Watts is openly agnostic and is a vocal advocate of state/church separation. First elected in 2018, he is known for being a defender of women’s rights and bodily autonomy, as well as a vocal advocate for public education.

Watts has received numerous endorsements by groups allied with the Action Fund’s interests. Those groups include the Nevada Assembly Democratic Caucus, Planned Parenthood Votes Nevada and the Human Rights Campaign.

During his time in the Assembly, Watts has served as chair of the Committee on Natural Resources and vice chair of the Committee on Growth and Infrastructure for the 2021 Legislature. He has been recognized as a “Rising Environmental Leader” by the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators and as the ACLU of Nevada’s “Most Civil Libertarian Legislator.”

FFRF Action Fund asks all of our advocates in Nevada to encourage others to vote for him on Nov. 5. Learn more about his candidacy at his campaign website.
