FFRF Action Fund’s “Secularist of the Week” is a renowned actress and comedian for bringing awareness to the damage that Donald Trump and Project 2025 could do to reproductive freedom if Trump returns to the Oval Office.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, known for her work on “Seinfeld,” “Veep,” “Saturday Night Live” and other projects, recently took to her social media platforms to urge her audience to vote for Kamala Harris and protect access to abortion, birth control and IVF. Over the past weekend, she posted a video on X with the caption: “I don’t know about you, but I’d really like to get the government out of my f*cking snatch.”

In the video, she describes how “Donald Trump and his merry band of yes-men are obsessed with what women do with our bodies.” She details how Trump, Project 2025 and the religious right “want to reach into our doctor’s offices and our bedrooms.” They want to restrict access to reproductive health care nationwide, “even though they wouldn’t know a uterus if they had to crawl out of one for a second time,” Louis-Dreyfus quips. She then asks her audience: “Do you care about reproductive freedom?”

“Kamala Harris will fight to win back our reproductive rights and sign into law the protections of Roe v. Wade,” Louis-Dreyfus continues. The video ends with Louis-Dreyfus urging her audience to make a plan to vote for Harris at IWillVote.com.

In accompanying posts, she wrote: “That’s why I hope you’ll join me in voting for Kamala Harris. … And don’t stop at the top of the ticket — vote all the way down for the candidates and ballot initiatives that will protect reproductive freedom!” Louis-Dreyfus added, “Please don’t wait and wish you did more! Go to IWillVote.com, check your registration, make a plan, and vote — early, if you can — for Kamala Harris by November 5.”

Louis-Dreyfus is right. Reproductive freedom is under attack, and Harris is the only choice that will protect access to abortion, birth control and IVF. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, seven out of seven ballot measures protecting abortion rights have prevailed. This year, abortion rights have made it to the ballot in 10 states, marking the most abortion rights ballot measures on record for a single year. Learn more about these ballot initiatives here.

We thank Louis-Dreyfus for using her substantial platform to bring awareness to the danger Trump and Project 2025 pose to women and reproductive health nationwide. She has certainly earned her “Secularist of the Week” designation.
