Please join FFRF in calling on North Dakota state Rep. Brandon Prichard either to apologize for his theocratic remarks or resign. Your voice counts as a North Dakota resident.
Prichard has made several disturbing recent social media postings, including:
- “All schools should have LGBTQ history taught and lesson one should be Sodom and Gomorrah.”
- “The US Senate and House should have a fitness test every year. Very simple. Every member of Congress must do 5 sit-ups, 5 push-ups, 1 pull up, and submit to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. How many would make it?”
- “Every conservative state should put into code that Jesus Christ is King and dedicate their state to Him. Force RINOs to say no to Jesus and then brutalize them in elections. We need a government of Christian, not fakers.”
FFRF Action Fund wrote him a letter (read more) asking him to retract these comments or resign. In response, he just tweeted an arrogant statement: “I will not listen to a godless out-of-state interest group like @FFRF! I’ll say it again. Christ is King and Lord. Let’s dedicate our government to Him, His moral teachings, and His mercy. All God’s followers say Amen.”
Our automated action alert system makes it easy for you to contact Prichard (and share this message with like-minded colleagues). It would also be very helpful to write a letter to the editor to your area daily newspaper taking Prichard to task publicly, or use social media to educate about him. Feel free to utilize wording from this action alert or our letter to Prichard.
