TAKE ACTION: Don’t let Louisiana legislators instill their religion on your children!

The attack on first amendment rights continues in Louisiana!

House Bill 71 passed through a House Education Committee hearing and now heads to the floor for the full House to vote on it, so it’s time for Louisiana citizens to make their voices heard. Please take action today and keep the Ten Commandments out of public schools!

HB 71 would require public schools to display the Ten Commandments in each public school classroom. This is the latest movement from Christian nationalists to attempt to convince public students that America is a “Christian nation.” The U.S. Supreme Court has held that posting the Ten Commandments is “plainly religious,” and thus, unconstitutional. But some Louisiana lawmakers seem to have forgotten their duty to uphold the secular Constitution. Please act now, and tell them that public schools are for education, not religious indoctrination!

Please reach out to your representatives today and tell them to reject this bill! We encourage usage of our customizable talking points through the “Take Action” to contact them both via phone and email. For best results, please be succinct and polite.
