Georgia public schoolchildren are under an imminent threat of Christian nationalism!

A new chaplain bill has been introduced and is getting a hearing today, so please act right now and fight back against religious intrusion in public schools!

GA SB 379 would allow public schools to employ religious chaplains for meeting with students in lieu of a school counselor. This is the worst version of this bill, containing no requirements or even background checks for these chaplains — meaning that a registered sex offender could be offered free access to children from kindergarten to high school under the guise of “offering religious support.” There are no benefits to this bill, with the end results either being indoctrination of students or long-term trauma. Please speak out against this bill now!

This will be heard by the Senate Committee on Education and Youth today, so there’s no time to waste! We encourage using our automated system to reach out to the committee both via email and phone. The provided talking points can be customized to your liking. For best results, please be succinct and polite.
