FFRF Action Fund needs the help of New York City residents to make a statement to Mayor Eric Adams. Adams has repeatedly abused his seat of power to advocate for his personal religious beliefs rather than standing up for our Secular Constitution. Contact him today and remind him to respect New Yorkers’ right of conscience!
FFRF Action Fund, the lobbying arm of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, has been increasingly alarmed at Adams’ continued comments that disregard the separation of church and state. In February, Adams drew well-deserved blowback for criticizing the Supreme Court’s decision ending public school-sponsored prayers, and in March, FFRF made a statement asking him to rescind comments that the mayor of New York “is a servant of God.” On Father’s Day, Adams lashed out at reporters appropriately calling out his blatant disregard for secular individuals’ concerns that he would only fight for Christian rights. If secular citizens don’t stand up and keep urging him to stop making these remarks, he’ll continue to be ignorant of his responsibilities.
Please take a moment and let Adams know that his continued pushing of Christianity is not right — and marginalizes nonreligious individuals like you! We have included suggested language through the “Take Action” button, which can be customized to your liking. For best results, please be succinct and polite.
