S 1066B will protect doctors providing medication abortion, including through telehealth, to out-of-state patients from criminal prosecution. As Christian nationalists continue to wage a war against abortion and bodily autonomy, women and other pregnant individuals are being forced to seek aid from states where dogma doesn’t have a firm grip on lawmakers. Unfortunately, this has led to physicians who provide care for these patients coming under attack for using their knowledge and skills to provide the best care possible to patients. Physicians shouldn’t have to fear legal prosecution simply for providing basic healthcare and patients in states with abortion bans deserve access to this care. Don’t let out-of-state zealotry sink its claws into New York!
