Illinois is fighting for common-sense reproductive care! SB 1909 has passed through the Legislature and is waiting for Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s signature. Take a moment and urge him to do what’s right for pregnant people!
SB 1909 prohibits crisis pregnancy centers from dispensing misinformation to clients. These centers are well known for using religious rhetoric to dissuade pregnant individuals from getting abortions. One of their most frequently used tactics involve lying about the risks of abortion by saying that it can cause sterility or an increased chance of breast cancer. Pregnant individuals need to be given correct information to decide what’s best for them! It’s time to force crisis pregnancy centers to stop forcing pregnant individuals to carry their pregnancy to term!
