LB 753 would create a new voucher scheme by providing tax credits for individuals and entities that donate scholarship funds that help pay for students to attend private, often religious, schools. This will fund religious schools at the expense of secular, public education! Instead of focusing on providing a quality education that every child is entitled to, this bill instead would create inequities among public and private institutions. To make matters worse, studies have shown that students who attend these private schools see no significant benefit over public school students. Don’t let public schools suffer so that religious schools can flourish!
