A new bill in New Hampshire would endanger children’s rights and privacy!
The House Education Committee will be voting on Senate Bill 272 on Tuesday, April 25. Take action today to keep zealotry out of public schools!
SB 272 would give parents the “right” to object to immunizations due to religious beliefs. And it would require schools to inform parents if their child has requested to be referred to by another name or pronoun, even if the school knows that conveying this information to parents could be dangerous for the student. This endangers students’ health by promoting nonmedical vaccine exemptions and by disregarding the privacy of students! This bill is part of a widespread Christian nationalist push for theocratic ideals under the guise of “parental rights.”
This bill will be heard very soon by the House Education Committee, so be sure to contact your legislator today! We have included suggested language through the “Take Action” button, which can be customized to your liking. For best results, please be succinct and polite.
