House Bill 470 was irresponsibly rushed through the House before members even had a chance to read it. This tactic was done to prevent it from being stopped in committee. Take action now to help stop this bill in the Senate and stand up for trans children in Kentucky.
HB 470 would make it impossible for minors to receive gender-affirming care, would require teachers to “out” trans kids to unsupportive family members, and more. This is a religiously motivated attack on trans youth based on outdated and dogmatic thinking about gender identities. As the legislative season continues, this is just one example of a number of escalating anti-trans bills that aim to silence the voice of this marginalized community.
