Tennessee legislators are trying to use your tax dollars to fund private schools!

The latest voucher scheme, House Bill 433, will be heard by state representatives on Monday, April 17. Take action today to fight back against this bill!

HB 433 would expand the eligibility criteria for an education savings account (ESA) to even more private schools – usually religious – using taxpayer dollars. ESAs are often portrayed as a way to “save” children from low performance public schools, but this is simply not the case. Studies have shown around the country that most students who use voucher or ESA funds would have gone to private schools anyway, and there is little to no academic benefit. These types of bills are discreetly aimed to promote a religious education by using taxpayer dollars. Don’t let Tennessee lawmakers violate the separation of state and church and cripple secular education!
