FFRF AF endorses Rep. Colin Allred’s bid for U.S. Senate

Colin Allred, a Democrat, currently serves as the U.S. representative for Texas’s 32nd District (Dallas area). He is running to unseat current Senator Ted Cruz. Allred has been a vocal supporter of reproductive freedoms and LGBTQIA+ issues.

Allred’s Republican opponent has been a disaster in the Senate. He has long been tied to White Christian Nationalist groups, blamed school shootings on the “removal” of god from the “public square,” and consistently espouses divisive, Christian nationalist talking points. He is endorsed by all the wrong groups. ‘Nuff said.

Rep. Allred He earned a full-ride football scholarship to Baylor University, was an NFL linebacker for five seasons, then became a civil rights attorney, serving in the general counsel’s office at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He is endorsed by the Human Rights Campaign, Reproductive Freedom for All, and a large number of other organizations and elected officials.
