TAKE ACTION: Fight to keep the Ten Commandments out of Arizona public schools!

Arizona public schools continue to be under attack from Christian nationalism!

An unconstitutional bill allowing the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public school classrooms has been approved by the Senate and is now headed to a House committee. Public school children should not be duped into believing America is a Christian nation — please fight to keep their education secular!

Contrary to the claims of certain Arizona legislators, Senate Bill 1151 goes against core American values and the principles of our secular Constitution. The sponsor of the bill wrongly assumes that a previous court decision regarding the display of the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms is no longer valid. However, the ruling from this specific Supreme Court case clearly affirmed that displaying the Ten Commandments in such settings is inherently religious. This ruling still holds true today, and it’s crucial for Arizona lawmakers to acknowledge it.

Please write to your representative to let them know that Arizona’s public spaces are not open for religious proselytizing! This bill has been moving through the Legislature, and we need your help to stop it.
