Oklahoma legislators are working to indoctrinate public school children!

Christian nationalist lawmakers have used a frowned-upon legislative technique to revitalize a wildly unpopular bill. Senate Bill 36 would permit school districts to accept volunteer chaplains to provide support for students. These chaplains would not have to be certified by the State Department of Education.

Lawmakers in Oklahoma know that the chaplain bill is unpopular and wrong for Oklahomans, so they decided to use deceptive practices hoping that no one would notice. Now, we need you to let them know that you did notice and that you oppose this bill that is clearly designed to impose religion on public school students. Public schools need to be kept free of religious interference, especially in supporting roles to students. Please act today and ensure that students won’t have religion forced on them!

Please reach out to your representatives today and tell them to oppose this bill! We’ve included customizable talking points through the “Take Action” button to contact them both via email and phone. For best results, please be succinct and polite.
