TAKE ACTION: Protect Washington Children from abuse!

Washington lawmakers have the chance to do right by victims of sexual abuse! FFRF Action Fund is counting on you to help ensure this bill lands on the governor’s desk. Please take action today to stand by Washington children!

House Bill 1618 will remove the statute of limitations for an individual to bring a civil claim for injuries suffered as a result of childhood sexual abuse. Many victims of sexual abuse are forced to live with long-lasting trauma after their abuse that irreparably damages their lives. This bill aims to ensure that these abusers can’t hide behind the statute of limitations any longer, and that their abusers are held accountable, no matter how long it’s been since an abuser last hurt someone. In other parts of the country, similar pieces of legislation have exposed the Catholic Church’s fear of being held accountable for their roles in such abuse. Take action today — and make sure Washington doesn’t let abusers off the hook!

Please reach out to your senators today and advocate for childhood sexual assault victims! We encourage usage of our automated system to contact your representative by both email and phone. For best results, please be succinct and polite.
