TAKE ACTION: Stop the advancement of Christian nationalism in Tennessee!

Tennessee lawmakers are blatantly ignoring the Establishment Clause with three bad bills!

Theocratic bills have moved through the Tennessee Legislature — and it’s important for freethinking residents to voice their concerns over them. Please take action and ask Gov. Bill Lee to veto them.

HB 1828, 2100, and 2125 all seek to elevate Christianity above minority religions and to give Christians a favored legal status in Tennessee. One would dub November as “Christian Heritage Month” and another includes the Aitken Bible as an official state book. The third purports to stop discrimination in banking, but what it prohibits is a laundry list of conservative religious grievances, and it specifically exempts religious banks, allowing them to discriminate.

The intent of these bills is clear. Don’t let Christian nationalism dominate Tennessee law without voicing your dissent — please act today!

These bills are merely waiting for Lee’s signature, so please don’t delay in urging him to veto them! We recommend using our customizable talking points through the “Take Action” button to contact him via email and phone. For best results, please be succinct and polite.
