Two important bills need your attention.

New York legislators may vote on A. 995C and S. 2445C this week, and it’s vital that they make their way to the governor’s desk. Please act today — and help provide terminally ill patients the right to control the end of their own lives.

These bills aim to create medical aid in dying programs, which permit the option of a peaceful death to patients suffering from terminal illness. Opposition to these bills comes primarily from religious advocates believing that humans are improperly “playing god” instead of spending their final months in suffering. Please don’t let religious lawmakers force unnecessary suffering on New York citizens. Take action today.

The legislative session is ending soon, so please don’t delay in urging them to support this legislation. We encourage using our automated system to contact your state reps and senators both via email and phone. For best results, please be succinct and polite.

(Note: You must live in this state to take part in this action alert.)
